What is the Airdrie Angel Program?
The Airdrie Angel program gives a hand up to those who have been through a difficult time or are living in challenging circumstances.
Sometimes people are struck down with a life changing event or experience, and through no fault of their own they are forced to fight an uphill battle. Their lives are turned upside-down in an instant or they undergo a constant struggle that may affect them physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This program was set up to be a light along the way to lift their spirits.
The Carre group started the Airdrie Angel program in January 2013. “We were inspired by what Gerry Forbes does on CJAY 92 said Matt Carre, “It’s not life changing money but if we can make someone’s day brighter then we have met our goal. This is about human spirit, giving back and helping those close to home”.
The human spirit is greater than anything that can happen to it.
Our program is a grassroots organization, not a registered non-profit society or a charity. The Carre Group supports 100% of the administrative portion of this program and we pass along 100% of our donations directly to our recipients.

We believe in the value of a gift from the heart, a lift to the spirit. If this program can help lift spirits and get people on to the next chapter in life, then its done its job.

We were looking for a caring grassroots organization we could rally behind and Airdrie Angel spoke to us immediately. The simplicity and directness of the program is what makes it so special to us. We feel privileged to be a part of helping give a lift to the spirit of those that need it. We can’t wait to see how the Airdrie Angel program grows as more people learn about it.
