Robert is a hard working father. In January, his daughter Christen wasn’t feeling well and was taken to the doctor to find out that she had a rare and fast acting blood infection. She was rushed into the Children’s Hospital had emergency surgery that required opening Christen’s skull from ear to ear across the top of her head. She spent a substantial amount of time in ICU under 24 hour supervision. Robert and his wife only have one vehicle and juggled going to the hospital and taking care of the rest of the family. During this trying time, Robert and his family were in the process of moving to a new rental property that added to the stresses. Christen has since recovered and is home but it’s been financially difficult for them. They’ve had to rely on the food bank and support from their church. Robert is a quiet, humble man and family is everything to him.
